ADRIAN TO DIRECT FIRST FULL LENGTH FEATURE FILM
Adrian is set to direct his first full length feature titled "Bazil's Legacy". The film, centered around a dying Italian village whose mayor has vowed to bring it back to it's former glory, was originally written by Evelyn Fisher. The current rewrite will see Adrian reunited with David Abramovitz with whom he worked on the
successful Highlander series.
Adrian says: "Bazil's Legacy is similar to "Chocolat" in premise, a small town with great characters whose lives are transformed by a mysterious stranger".
Bazil is being produced by Transcorda Films, Germany and Adrian's own production company Filmblips and is slated to start shooting in Italy in early 2011.

CNN iReporter Chris Morrow asks celebities to read for a cause
Adrian was delighted to be able to lend his support when CNN iReporter, Chris Morrow decided to ask her celebrity friends and contacts to help her raise money to support the National Foundation for Autism Research (NAFR).
NFAR provides financial support to teachers for materials and equipment (including books!) that improve the way students with autism learn, which is especially important now with widespread educational budget cuts. Since 2005, NFAR has awarded grants to more than 150 classrooms, helping make a difference for thousands of children.
Adrian, along with other celebrities was invited to read a verse from the well known and loved Christmas poem 'The night before Christmas'. "It gave me the chance to do something to help children and provide a positive impact on their lives, whist providing an excellent opportunity of fulfilling my goal of doing at least one good deed every day!" Adrian said.
The book from which the celebrities did their reading has been signed and is being auctioned on E-bay with the proceeds going to NAFR. Above is the video that was produced. CLICK HERE for more information on CNN. |

"I just wanted to let you all know that Alexa and I are adding to our clan, except this time it’s not another dog from a shelter. I am thrilled to announce that there is a 'MINI ME' on the way."
A lot of my friends keep telling me ”it’s about time” and I just laugh, but I guess they are right. Of course it will change a few things, but not a lot, we will just have to do a little redecorating and baby planning when we travel. Rest assured I am on top of things. I have been visiting baby stores and I now know what a “onesy” is and what a breast pump looks like (very strange). One thing's for certain though, I am definitely NOT doing those preggy mommy yoga classes!

The Lollipops and Rainbows Foundation, founded by 8-year old Emily Grace Reaves (who stars as "Cindy Lou" in the Hannah Montana Movie), will be officially launched on the 2nd May, with a star-studded, celebrity event at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood.
The foundation is dedicated as a tribute to Emily's grandfather Dave Reaves who came up with the idea 10 years ago. The event promises to be the biggest block party of 2009, helping to raise awareness towards 4 special charities closest to Emily's heart.
We are delighted to be able to announce that Adrian's charity The PEACE Fund has been selected as one of the four.

Adrian will shortly commence work on one of a number of projects as he plays alongside Michael Madsen ("Sin City" and "Kill Bill" )in the latest Robert Koltai movie, "Magic Boys", a Hungarian-British-Canadian co-produced comedy about two guys on the run from
the Hungarian mob.

Adrian will be appearing on "Esti Frizbi" on StoryTV in a one on one interview to be screened on Sunday 1st February, where he talks about his life, career and what 2009 holds in store for him. |

Adrian attended an Election Party Night at the Corinthia Grande Hotel in Budapest with over 1,000 other guests including republican and Democrat ex pats, in addition to numerous high level Hungarian diplomats.
With welcoming remarks by the US Ambassador to Hungary, the event was a huge success with everyone enjoying the electrifying evening.
The image shows Adrian posting a mock election ballot into the American citizen box. The results? A three to one sweep for Senator Obama.

This weekend Adrian just finished a voice recording session (looping) for the film he shot a year ago, The Heavy. The Director Marcus Warren, is now in Los Angeles finishing the sound production of the film for screenings to take place at The American Film Market in Los Angeles on November 4.

Adrian and Budino recently attended the Terry Fox run in Budapest Hunagry joining the thousands of others around the world particpating in this event to raise awareness for cancer. The Terry Fox run is a 5k or 10k run, walk, skate or bike fund raiser for the Cancer Research Foundation in Hungary.

The first screening takes place on 2nd September in Los Angeles. This will be followed by further looping and final cuts before the film sees general release.

The Cover Model Reunion Dinner held at the Romantic Times Booklovers Convention at the Hilton Hotel included several cover models of Romance Novels, including the original, Fabio and special guest, Adrian Paul.
It was a fun evening for everyone as they enjoyed speeches, photo sessions, and raffles, which included many items donated by PEACE. Adrian spoke passionately to the captive audience about The PEACE Fund, including its mission and accomplishments. |

Adrian teams up with other 'Highlander' stars for a new
'War Of The Worlds' animation
The picture shows Adrian in Los Angeles last Tuesday providing voice-over for the character of Patrick - a charismatic Irish character in this new animation.Peter Wingfied, Elizabeth Gracen and Jim Byrnes are also providing the voices of other main characters. David Abramowitz has provided this new instalment in the WotW saga, bringing it into the 20th century.

On 1st December 2007, the New York Palace, a Boscolo Luxury Hotel in Budapest,
will be the host of the International Final of the World Top Model Competition.
|
Models from over 30 countries are expected to attend and the winner will receive a modelling contract and professional training worth €200,000 euros offered by Major Model Management. In addition, over 700 other models, agents and representatives of foreign fashion brands will be present.
The celebrity Committee will be chaired by Adrian Paul. International models/stars who have attended past events include Carla Bruni, Monica Bellucci and Eva Herzigova.
Adrian’s own charity The PEACE Fund will benefit as one of the participating charities. The main proceeds from the event go to the United Way Hungary.

Adrian has just finished filming “Captain Drake” in Bulgaria with all reports saying that the shoot has gone exceptionally well. Adrian himself is particularly excited by this ‘comedic drama’, which is due for release on the Sci-Fi Channel in 2008.
Adrian then heads almost immediately to his next project, the supernatural suspense movie, “Nine Miles Down”. The film went into pre-production and preliminary shooting last year but Adrian 's central role commences filming in January. Set in the Arabian Desert, the exterior scenes will actually be shot in the striking landscape of Tunisia with the interiors being filmed in Budapest, Hungary.
"I'm really glad the film's moving forward," Adrian exclusively tells www.adrianpaul.net . "I love the idea of a story that explores not only the obvious and mysterious threats in a character's immediate environment, but the internal obstacles they must also overcome. As an actor, it's always interesting to play characters who are conflicted and have issues to solve.”
The film is directed by Anthony Waller, who also wrote and directed “An American Werewolf in Paris” and, the highly-acclaimed thriller, “Mute Witness” with Marina Sudina and Sir Alec Guinness (in his penultimate role). “Nine Miles Down” also stars Kate Nauta (“The Game Plan” and “Transporter II”). |

Currently known as 'Captain Drake' Adrian's new role will be directed by Dave Flores ("Sands of Oblivion"); written by - Rafael Jordan ("Wraiths of Roanoke"); and produced by Jeffery Beach and Phil Roth for the SCI FI Channel.
The cast will include Temuera Morrison (Star Wars Episodes II and III) as Spanish Captain Don Sandovate; Wes Ramsey as Peter Easton, Drake's first officer and protégé and Daniel Kash as Baldassarre Cossa, an Italian mercenary and would-be scholar in Drake's employ.

SYNOPSIS: "1592. Four years after England's defeat of the Spanish Armada, tensions still run deep, especially between Sir Francis Drake, "The Queen's Pirate", and his lifelong nemesis, Captain Don Sandovate.
An encounter with a mysterious Syrian sultan, however, finds the two men and their crews engaged in a daring race against time, each embarking upon a desperate quest to exotic foreign lands where they face perilous obstacles and untold dangers at every turn."

"The script is really quite good and I am always happy to support independent films because they can sometimes surprise you with the depth of the material," said Adrian.
"This topic is very current in many ways. For instance, in the United Kingdom there are at present about 1.5 million surveillance cameras. So I ask myself, where will it end or what will it turn into? I love current topics or historical material."

The film, which will be shot in 35mm in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, will co-star Dan Trejo, Megan Blake and Lucas Elliott.
SYNOPSIS: Following the Introduction of the Freedom of Observation Act, the vast array of separate private and public surveillance cameras throughout America are united to form the Optical Defense Intelligence Network - ODIN and the Department of Homeland Security introduces the latest weapon in the war on terror.... EYEBORGS.
Gunner (played by Adrian Paul), an agent for the Department, uncovers a plot to assassinate the President. But his investigation is plagued by brutal murders and untimely accidents. Beginning his investigation of the Eyeborg's powerful surveillance system, he comes to believe that he is under the control of an unknown enemy. He soon realizes the truth: that ODIN is running everything and he now must save both himself and the President from a system that can follow and kill you anywhere.

Adrian will play Christian Mason, brother of Mitch 'Boots' Mason (played by Gary Stretch) nominated party leader and favorite to become the next British Prime Minister

newest fellow member of the Worldwide Charitable Alliance is none other than Mikhail Gorbachev, first President of the Soviet Union. |
Mr Gorbachev was awarded the Peacemaker Gold Star and the Peacekeeper Prize on March 2nd “for his unselfish service of peace and democracy….(he) will always figure in history as a great fighter for peace, his name associated with the new vision of the international relations based on the urge to relieve the global tensions and put an end to the Cold War.” (Y. A decade on it still stands firmly as one of Highlander's stand out episodes and what made this episode that much more special was that it was directed by Adrian himself. Revelations 6:8 was filmed in the beautiful surrounds of Bordeaux in France and for further insights into the particular challenges entailed in bringing this episode to the screen

Adrian recently attended a fashion event launch of Moods of Norway at the Trendy night spot of Boulevard 3 in Los Angeles. The evening was promoted by Denise Fleming in conjunction with OK Magazine. Among the celebrities mingling with the fashion gurus were Natasha Henstridge, (Species, and The Whole Nine
yards) Amanda Righetti, (the OC and Entourage) and Holt Macalleny (Fight Club, Three kings)
Adrian said "It was fun seeing some people I haven't seen in a long time. This type of event is exactly what Hollywood is all about.

Bill Panzer, Producer of The Highlander films and Highlander: The Series, passed away today, 18th March 2007. It is a sad day and a shock to his loved ones, friends and colleagues. Our prayers and thoughts go out to them and especially to his wife Priscilla. Many of us will miss his dry sense of humor as well as his passion for the world of Highlander - a passion that entertained millions across the globe

 Adrian was honored to be invited by the Worldwide Charitable Alliance (WCA) to visit Moscow for three days in December to take part in a variety of media activities, to attend a gala Ball, and to receive a "Peacemaker Award." The WCA is an organization of very high-profile people who have shown a commitment to using their profile to spread the message of peace and co-operation, tolerance and the importance of celebrating diversity. Amongst those attending the Ball will be Former President of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev, Minister of Culture Alexander Sokolov and Adrian Paul.

Snowfall Films have advised that they are still negotiating a North American sale and therefore cannot advise a release date as yet. Frustrating? You bet. As WINNER of the 2006 Shockerfest Award for "Best Movie", WINNER of "Best Dramatic Feature" at the Eureka Springs Digital Film Festival and a FINALIST in Horror Fest UK 2006 it doesn't disappoint. Snowfall Films might be slightly biased but their view? "...It's such a good film and you're so wonderful in it....".
